Its’ the season of giving! And boy, do we have some gift ideas for you!

Getting gifts for your loved ones is often an adventure on its own. But what if you could get the gift that they don’t know they need till they see it?

So, we thought we would give you a tip or two about which gifts each Enneagram Type may want to get from the special ‘Santa’ in their lives.

For this week, let us look at the Type 1s, 2s and 3s.

For the disciplined and structured Type 1s in your life, here are some gift ideas for them:

  • Bags with lots of pockets – For Type 1s, who love to set structures and things in place in their lives and at work, this would be a very appropriate addition to their meticulously organized lives. No such thing as too many pockets in a bag, right?
  • Watches – Type 1s love to be on time for the various appointments in their day. So, why not help them do so by giving them the practical gift of time on their wrists? I am sure they would appreciate this timeless gift!
  • Organizers – For the scheduler in them, the Type 1 in your life would love an organizer for them to schedule in their appointments. An organizer would also tell them that you admire them for the discipline they have in keeping to their schedules.
  • Stationery Kits – This would excite the very practical Type 1 in your life. They would love that they would have the whole toolkit that would allow them to sit down and create a structure to keep your life in place.

For the ever giving and often not receiving Type 2s in your life, here are some gift ideas for them:

  • Books from a favorite author – For Type 2s who love to read, they would rarely tell people what they like. So when they do express their love for books by an author they really like, get it for them. This would allow them to see that it is also nice to have someone take care of their needs and give them something that they want.
  • Handwritten notes of appreciation – Type 2s would love the effort you have spent in writing a special note of appreciation just for them. They may say, “I am really okay with anything you give me” but I can assure you that this would absolutely put a huge grin on their face on Christmas Day!
  • Personalized gifts based on their preference – Type 2s generally don’t want to let people know what they would like as gifts as they are more comfortable as givers than receivers. However, if you get something that they have said they would like to get, that would absolutely rock their world because it meant that for once, someone was listening for what they wanted and actually met that desire. So do it! Make their Christmas Day special!

For the hardworking and efficient Type 3s in your life, here are some gift ideas:

  • Books on Life Hacks – For the Type 3 who is always on the eternal quest for efficiency and for the fastest way to achieve their objective, this would be the perfect gift for them. Packed with shortcuts galore (and ones that actually work), you can be sure that this would be a page turner for them!
  • Videos recapping their achievements for the year – Now, admittedly, this may take a bit more effort. But, if you manage to execute this well, you will give the Type 3 in your life a lovely reminder of all the wonderful fruits that their hard work has borne for them. This would no doubt bring some cheer into their hearts, so start working on it now!
  • Personalized trophies or medals such as ‘Best Boss’, ‘Best Wife/Husband’ etc. – For the achievement focused Type 3, this would be one of the best ways to show them the love and your appreciation for them. Yes, they may say that this would be a cheesy gift but I can assure you, you will find this proudly displayed on their shelves or the mantelpiece faster than you can say, “Santa Claus is coming to town!”
