After Learning The Enneagram,
You Subconsciously Try To Figure Out A Person’s Type So That You Can Identify The Best Method to Put Across Your Communication
In our workshops, we say that in the Enneagram Framework, there are nine different ways to see the worldand nine different ways of communicating with each other.
Each Enneagram Type have a set of words that they use subconsciously as they speak of the world around them. This often spills over to how they describe what they do and who they are in relation to the world.
For example,
If you have a person who often speaks of what they have achieved in their lives before the Enneagram, you may instinctively peg them as show-offs. After learning the Enneagram, that same conversation would often take a different tone with you because you realise that this person may be a Type 3 and that speaking of their achievements is the first way they try to establish connection with someone. This would then allow you to ask the deeper questions, such as “Tell me more about what inspired you to strive for these awards and achievements? or “How do you stay motivated all the time?”
